i spent every single day this last week doing homework from the time i got home until i went to bed. as you can see, no time for tumblr unless i wish to fail -.-

I’ve seen a lot of people lately talking about how Tumblr is going to be deleting blogs that encourage self harm or whatever? While I agree that encouraging such things is stupid, I don’t agree that people should be silenced.

When a site decides it wants to silence it’s users and deny them their first amendment, that’s when you know it’s probably time to find a new site that isn’t going to bullshit you.

If you let them take down those blogs, they’re going to find something else they want to take down as well. People seem to frown upon the anarchist blogs, the atheist blogs, feminist blogs, there are a lot of different types of blogs that SOMEBODY is going to have a problem with. Are you going to let them take those ones down too?

While I don’t think self harm blogs are a good thing, in fact they’re pretty ridiculous, I still support their right to freely expressing themselves. If you don’t stand up for some group because “it’s none of your business/not something you’re a part of,” then obviously nobody is going to stand up for you either.

So fuck you Tumblr, you can eat a bag of dicks.
